As a Senior Project Manager in our UK Defence business, you will be instrumental in delivering pioneering defence innovation and capability for industry and government. You will lead multiple complex projects from initial engagement through to completion, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and in alignment with strategic business objectives. This role demands effective project leadership and adept management of a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure commitments are met and risks are effectively managed.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of high-value (£5m+ per annum) complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Lead cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior project managers and team members.
- Manage project financial and resource demand forecasts.
Essential Experience:
- Proven track record in delivering complex technical projects, adept at managing timescales, uncertainty, and risk.
- Experience in delivering multiple projects for multiple customers simultaneously.
- Defence, Aerospace, or Engineering background preferred.
Essential Qualifications:
- APM PMQ capability.

This role is based at our Boscombe Down site, operating 37 hours per week, with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
About Boscombe Down:
MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. It primarily focuses on providing testing, evaluation, and support services for aviation and aerospace systems. Renowned for its extensive flight-testing capabilities, the site plays a vital role in the UK’s aviation defence, contributing to the development, testing, and airworthiness of military aircraft to enhance operational readiness and effectiveness.
Successful candidates must be able to obtain security clearance for this position. All applicants must be eligible for SC clearance as a minimum.
