Senior Project Manager

Join us as a Senior Project Manager at either our Fort Halstead or Shoeburyness site, working with brilliant minds and advanced technology.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of one or more high-value complex projects within the UK Defence arm of QinetiQ, specifically within the Land & Weapons division. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing and maintaining positive engagement with project customers and partners, while ensuring delivery against project outputs to agreed baseline targets such as customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash, and sales.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of forecasts for both financial and resource demand signals.
- Application of governance requirements for foundation sales and delivery work.
- Ensuring correct entry of data onto SAP relating to your opportunities, including order value, order intake scenario, bid due date, closing date, sales stage, margin, and revenue profile.
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrable capability to International Project Management Level B.
- Experience gained between 3-5 years of leading a business, projects, programmes, portfolios, or P3 function and delivering against complex projects.
Essential Qualifications:
- APM or Prince2 certification.
- A degree in a relevant field.

This role is 37 hours per week and is based at our Fort Halstead or Shoeburyness site, with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
About Our Sites:
Shoeburyness: A significant test and evaluation facility specialising in defence and security technologies, focused on Environmental Testing including the evaluation of various ordnance, explosives, and related systems. This site implements measures to ensure testing activities comply with environmental regulations and minimise ecological impact.
Fort Halstead: Located in Kent, our facilities focus on a wide range of defence-related research, particularly weapons systems and military technology. Modern laboratories enable engineers and scientists to conduct high-tech research in material science, systems engineering, and advanced simulation techniques.
Successful applicants will need to be able to obtain security clearance for this role. Please note that all applicants for this role must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum.
