The Role: Senior Quality Delivery Engineer

As a Senior Quality Delivery Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering robust assurance across major nuclear projects, including the Pile Fuel Cladding Silo programme. You will lead independent quality activities, ensuring that complex engineering outputs meet rigorous regulatory and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead independent assurance activities to evaluate quality performance across projects.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on quality standards, compliance, and best practice.
  • Review and approve supplier quality arrangements in line with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse data and use quality tools to assess performance against objectives and drive improvement.
  • Support and develop team members, fostering a strong quality culture across the business.

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience providing quality assurance guidance within complex engineering or regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to evaluate compliance and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience working with supplier quality processes and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Strong background in applying quality tools, techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading or mentoring others, with effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, quality, or a related discipline.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification, or equivalent experience (Desirable).
  • Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute or similar professional body (Desirable).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement qualification (Desirable).
  • Experience in nuclear or other high-hazard, highly regulated industries (Desirable).

Location and Working Arrangement:

This full-time, permanent role is based at our Sellafield, Cumbria site. It involves a 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the option of hybrid working arrangements.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
