Senior Risk Specialist

The Role
In this senior position, you will lead the delivery of robust risk and opportunity management across challenging, high-value programmes. Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact project delivery, as well as identifying and capitalising on opportunities to enhance performance and outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to influence major projects supporting national security and demonstrate expert risk management capabilities within a global engineering organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of risk and opportunity management frameworks across projects.
- Manage and maintain risk registers, risk management plans, and reporting outputs.
- Identify, analyse, and mitigate project and programme risks and opportunities.
- Apply quantitative risk techniques such as schedule and cost analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure risks are understood and effectively managed.
This is a full-time role (37 hours per week) offering hybrid working arrangements, combining onsite work with remote working.
Essential Experience:
- Delivering risk management within large, complex projects or programmes.
- Driving day-to-day risk management activities across multidisciplinary teams.
- Applying risk governance and assurance principles in a structured environment.
- Experience with or supporting quantitative risk techniques such as Monte Carlo analysis is desirable.
- Working within defence, engineering, or similarly regulated industries is desirable.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Applicants must be Sole UK nationals.
