The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions for critical projects. You will work closely with project managers, chief engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain high-quality, reliable, and secure software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code adhering to software coding standards.
• Lead the development of complex features and contribute to architectural design and long-term technical strategy.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Promote engineering best practices and continuous learning within the team.

Essential Experience:

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with significant experience in a senior or technical-lead role.
• Experience in architecting and designing software solutions for both small-scale and large-scale systems.
• Strong proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (C#, C++ or Java).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software development methodologies like Agile or DevOps.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-quality software.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.

Essential Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

• Location: Bristol
• Type: Permanent - Fulltime
• Site Attendance: Minimum average of 3 days per week.
• Hours: 37 hours per week.
