Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert legal advice on complex commercial contracts and strategic projects.
- Leading contract negotiations to ensure commercially sound and compliant outcomes.
- Managing disputes, litigation, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver pragmatic, risk-based solutions.
- Supporting governance processes and ensuring adherence to legal frameworks.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will be a Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with significant post-qualification experience. You will have demonstrable experience in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and review, with a proven ability to deliver strategic, risk-based legal advice to senior stakeholders. Experience managing disputes, litigation, and regulatory compliance is essential, as are strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate legal complexity into business context. Experience working within an in-house or corporate legal environment, and NEC contract experience, are also highly desirable.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Please note that many positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. Working Arrangements:
This role is full time, 35 hours per week, and provides hybrid working arrangements with occasional travel to Devonport Royal Dockyard.
