Senior Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping engineering excellence across our Naval Nuclear programmes. As part of our Whole Boat & Platform Systems Engineering team, you will help to drive engineering performance, improve processes, and influence how complex engineering systems are delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead transversal engineering projects and deliver technical solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Implement engineering processes, governance, and capability plans that improve how we operate.
- Undertake engineering investigations, producing clear reports and recommendations.
- Carry out project management activities including planning, delivery, and cost control.
- Liaise with customers and stakeholders to present solutions, progress, and outcomes.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week, and provides hybrid working arrangements. The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
Essential Experience:
- Understanding and delivery of system technical requirements.
- Experience driving innovation and improving engineering effectiveness and efficiency.
- Proven experience managing projects in fast‑moving environments, delivering on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Familiarity with commercial and subcontract processes.
- Proficiency in project management tools.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Level 5 qualification in a relevant STEM discipline OR substantial relevant experience can be considered.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or actively working towards.
