Software Engineering for Avionics - Methods and Tools (f/h)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Software Specialist – Methods and Tools to join our "Avionics Software" department based in Toulouse, France. Our department is an internal supplier of avionics equipment and simulators, responsible for the design, development, production, and support of critical embedded products for all Airbus aircraft. We are a reference center for software and electronics, collaborating with other Airbus divisions and partners.

Your Challenges:

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the avionics software production system for embedded and ground avionics products and components. This will be in an environment with industrial and certification constraints (DO178, software DAL A to D, DO330).

This production environment consists of development processes based on a set of qualified common methods and tools, enabling the specification, architecture, design, coding, unit testing, integration, and verification of our software.

Your main activities will include:

• Studying, developing, qualifying, deploying, and maintaining the tools and associated methods for the software factory.
• Ensuring associated support activities, including user training.
• Performing static program analysis.
• Automating and optimizing certain software development phases.

You will report to a manager responsible for a set of avionics software products within an agile organization with dynamic role assignments.

Your Profile:

• Development of real-time embedded software (DO178, DO330).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in requirements engineering.
• Formal methods, compilation techniques, programming language semantics.
• Static analysis.
• Knowledge of programming languages: C/C++, PYTHON.
• Systems knowledge: LINUX and Windows.
• An advanced level of English and French is required.
