About the Role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Strategic Logistics & Transport Engineer (d/f/m) to join their Transport and Logistics operations team, which supports Space and Connected Intelligence activities. The team operates across France, UK, Germany, and Spain, collaborating with various programs and AIT to provide essential transport and logistics services.

This position is based at the Airbus site in Immenstaad, Germany, a hub for innovation in Connected Intelligence, Space, and Air Power. You will be part of an environment that fosters technological advancement and interdisciplinary collaboration, working on complex challenges from AI-powered Earth observation to secure cloud architectures.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams autonomously and set up new strategic solutions in complex environments.
  • Design and implement the most optimized logistics and transport solutions.
  • Provide expertise on processes, tools, and support for Logistics and Transport operations.
  • Ensure the successful operational deployment of processes and solutions.
  • Master, control, and optimize Logistics and Transport processes and tools.
  • Perform project management activities, including developing and managing wide area networks or Multi-Function Teams (MFTs).
  • Manage change within the Logistics and Transport community.
  • Conduct Logistics and Transport cost estimation activities to support tender submissions.
  • Collaborate effectively with Airbus operational teams and Transport and Logistics subcontractors.
  • Define and manage processes in accordance with BMS requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Perform functional and methodological monitoring to identify areas for improvement and prevent non-conformities.
  • Identify IS/IT applications and digital initiatives that support process implementation and report IS/IT risks to the process owner.
  • Advise on discrepancies between documented processes and IS/IT application functionalities.
  • Define data management rules for Logistics and Transport and ensure data accuracy.
  • Contribute to performance studies of Transport and Logistics operations through data management and analysis.
  • Assist in the development of tools for monitoring operational performance.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Engineer diploma in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
  • Solid experience in Project Management and Supply Chain.
  • Extensive knowledge of Project Management, Supply Chain, Transport, and Logistics.
  • Proven ability to manage new and complex systems comprehensively.
  • Autonomous in the entire field of activity.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills would be an advantage.
