About the Role

Your craftsmanship and precision are needed to build the giants of the sky. At the production halls in Hamburg-Finkenwerder, we shape the A320, A330, and A350. For Airbus Aerostructures GmbH, we are looking for you as a Structural Mechanic (m/f/d). Become part of the crew and ensure that quality takes off safely!

We are currently offering permanent and fixed-term positions for two years, dependent on your professional experience in the aviation industry.

Your Location

You will work in the largest production facility for civil aircraft in Hamburg. Due to its location on the southern bank of the Elbe, commuting by ferry is an option. Your Daily Flight Plan

Precise Manufacturing:

  • Perform drilling, filling, and riveting work, as well as the exact positioning and fixing of components on the aircraft structure.

Workstation Preparation:

  • Set up workstations and independently check and provide all necessary manufacturing resources.

Digital Documentation:

  • Seamless recording of all completed work and processes in the relevant IT systems.

Quality Assurance:

  • Active creation and processing of complaints regarding material or process deviations.

Teamwork & Interfaces:

  • Close collaboration with production planning, quality assurance colleagues, and adjacent workstations.

Your Boarding Pass:

Training & Experience:

  • Completed technical vocational training (e.g., as Aircraft Mechanic, Mechatronics Technician, or Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d)) with several years of professional experience in aircraft construction or a comparable industrial environment.

Work Method & Quality:

  • Careful, reliable, and characterized by a high sense of quality and responsibility.

Team Spirit & Interfaces:

  • Strong team player and enjoyment of working in self-organized teams, as well as with departments such as Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing.

IT & Languages:

  • Solid, routine use of a PC, as well as fluent German and basic English skills.

Shift Work Readiness:

  • Willingness to work in a 2-shift system.
