About the Role

The Supply Chain Coordinator plays a crucial role in project delivery by assisting with the development and implementation of sourcing and contract management activities. Operating within established procedures and under the supervision of senior team members, you will leverage your procurement and supply chain knowledge to achieve business objectives, mitigate risks, and enhance value creation.

This position contributes to vital functions including supplier engagement, contract administration, sourcing documentation, and ensuring adherence to Babcock's procurement standards and category management principles. Success will be demonstrated through your support of sourcing processes, meticulous maintenance of documentation, and active contribution to the continuous improvement of the Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support sourcing activities, including RFQ, RFI, and RFT processes.
  • Prepare procurement documentation and contribute to sourcing plans.
  • Conduct foundational market research and supplier analysis.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing contract documents for compliance.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and contract records for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Support contract administration, tracking key dates, deliverables, and supplier performance.
  • Assist with Contract Status Reporting (CSR) to monitor progress against contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate supplier communications and address routine queries.
  • Support subcontract and contract management activities, including issue resolution.
  • Contribute to enhancements in procurement tools, templates, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, Trade Controls, and Babcock procurement standards.
  • Integrate Babcock Principles into daily work activities.

To be Successful, You Will Bring:

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Security Clearance (NV1).
  • Approximately 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contract management.
  • Experience supporting sourcing exercises (RFQ/RFI/RFT) and supplier engagement.
  • Familiarity with Category Management, SRM, and SPM frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of procurement systems and sourcing tools.
  • Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
