About the Role
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a System Designer (M/F) to join our Cockpit & Platforms Avionics Department in Toulouse, France. You will be instrumental in driving the technical design and definition of the next generation of Integrated Modular Avionic (IMA) computers, which are critical hardware/software components for Airbus's next-generation system architecture (DAL-A) for Next Generation Single Aisle aircraft.

Your Challenges
- Advanced Platform Study: Support TRL reviews and de-risking activities to evaluate the feasibility and characteristics of future platform architectures in a safety-critical context, including emerging architectures.
- IMA System Design: Define high-level requirements for core processing perimeters, focusing on hardware virtualization and integration with A653 RTOS solutions.
- Supplier Follow-up: Serve as the technical counterpart for potential future suppliers during research and pre-development phases.
- V&V and Certification Pre-compliance: Architect early-stage designs to meet applicable standards (ARP4754, DO-254, DO-178C - DAL-A) and initiate V&V and Certification strategies.
- Strategic Evolution: Nurture technical dossiers required for full-scale development launch within a 3-5 year horizon.
Your Boarding Pass
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a strong foundation in Electronics/Hardware/Software/A/C systems Engineering.
- Knowledge of modern avionics platform architectures.
- Understanding of H/W and S/W development constraints, including DO178 / DO254 / ARP4754.
- Ability to maintain a system-level perspective, defining module functions rather than detailed implementation.
- Familiarity with ARINC 653 concepts and the constraints of commercial real-time operating systems.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with excellent technical writing abilities in English.
This position requires eligibility for security, Export Control, and Military clearances.
