Systems Engineer
At Cavendish Nuclear, we are committed to creating a safe and secure world. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial part in our mission, working on a major nuclear programme from our Bristol or Warrington, Cheshire sites.
This is a role out of the ordinary, where you will join a dynamic and expanding systems engineering team. You will be instrumental in delivering critical work across our programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering systems engineering activities including requirements engineering, system design, and integration planning.
- Supporting technical reviews and contributing to system development throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated solutions.
- Managing requirements, assumptions, and risks to support successful project outcomes.
- Working as part of a specialist systems engineering team within a larger programme environment.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available, with the primary base being either our Bristol or Warrington site.
Essential Experience:
- Experience in requirements engineering, systems architecture, interface management, or integration, verification and validation.
- Demonstrable experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Understanding of the full engineering or project lifecycle.
- Experience supporting technical reviews and engineering governance processes.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools or structured systems engineering approaches.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Awareness of systems engineering standards such as those developed by the International Council on Systems Engineering is desirable.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
