About the Role
Boeing Global Services (BGS) is expanding its Customer Engineering team to provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise for cutting-edge aircraft retrofit solutions. This role is crucial for engaging with airline and leasing customers, understanding their modification needs, and guiding them through the proposal and project execution phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers (Airlines and Lessors) to understand their retrofit modification requirements.
- Review aircraft configurations and provide technical expertise to help customers select appropriate retrofit modifications.
- Initiate and collaborate on the proposal generation process with internal teams.
- Support modifications for a wide range of product lines including Interiors, Connectivity, Avionics, Airplane Performance & Safety (AP&S), and Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
- Monitor proposal and project progress, keeping customers informed throughout the lifecycle.
- Attend major milestone meetings during project execution.
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with an FAA STC/EASA Part 21 design organization or a strong background in aviation engineering with knowledge of aircraft retrofit modifications.
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with airline and/or leasing organizations.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze data, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.
