Role Overview
Testia Ltd is seeking a qualified EN4179 Level 2 Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector for a permanent, full-time position based in Filton, Bristol. This role is integral to ensuring manufactured and in-service components meet stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform, interpret, and report on inspections using various NDT methods including Ultrasonic (UT), Radiography (RT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Dye Penetrant (PT), and Eddy Current (ET).
- Conduct inspections on manufactured or in-service components to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Visit customer sites to perform inspection work as needed.
- Accurately document all test results in writing, adhering to established procedures.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers regarding ongoing requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive personnel records of NDT work performed to support qualification renewals.
- Undertake training to acquire new qualifications as required to meet business and customer needs.
- Support the sales team by visiting customers and engaging in technical discussions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in line with the role specification.
Role Specifications
- Qualification and certification in accordance with EN4179 Level 2 (Level 3 desirable) in one or more of the following methods: UT (Conventional, Phased Array desirable), PT, ET (Conventional, Array desirable), RT (Film & Non-Film), MT.
- Documented experience hours for all held NDT methods.
- Documented Aerospace / Aircraft work experience hours.
- Experience in inspecting components during both in-service use and manufacturing phases.
- Experience inspecting both metallic and composite components.

- Strong teamwork, resilience, and flexibility to meet demands.
- Possession of a UK Driving Licence (Class B).
- Availability to travel and work at customer sites, including overnight stays, with reasonable notice.
- Ability to attain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.
Working Conditions
This role may require occasional extended hours and may involve shift work, subject to customer demand. Payments will be made in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
