Training Devices Project Manager

Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid) for a Training Devices Project Manager. The successful candidate will join the Transport & Mission Training Aids (TASTS3) Team, responsible for leading the execution of all tasks related to the definition, purchase, development, validation, acceptance, qualification, and delivery of LTA and MRTT simulators to customers, ensuring they are delivered on time, on cost, and on quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition, development, and delivery of LTA and MRTT simulators to customers.
• Support communication with customers, internal organizations, and suppliers.
• Define contractual obligations to be delivered to the customer and contractual documents with suppliers.
• Manage the Data Package (DP), Software Package (SWP), Parts & Equipment (P&E), and Spares definition, purchase, and delivery.
• Ensure the provision of deliverables from all stakeholders on time, on cost, and on quality (OTOCOQ).
• Take full responsibility for the delivery of the final product to customers, managing risks and opportunities, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare technical offers and associated cost calculations for Programmes Representatives.
• Monitor and manage project activities to meet performance indicators and customer requirements.
• Facilitate liaison between all involved Airbus areas, suppliers, and the end-customer.
• The activities associated with the position take place within an international framework.
• Produce outputs including: Technical/Logistic/Management requirements documents, cost calculations & control, plans/directives, schedules, statement of work documents, risk mitigation plans, project status reports, KPIs definition, and support to offers to Customers.
• Act as the Authority to sign Technical documents approval, Minutes of Meetings with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers, and Acceptance documents for the product.

Skills and Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Aeronautics, or equivalent.
• More than 5 years of experience in an aeronautical company.
• Experience in Training Aids design and development.
• Experience in Project Management.
• Negotiation level English with experience in an international environment.
• Knowledge of Air Power programs, specifically MRTT and LTA products.
• Multitasking, proactive, positive attitude, capacity to work in a team, unsupervised and with autonomy, and the capacity to adapt and learn quickly.
