About the Role
As a Transport Development Manager at Babcock, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex transport projects that support operational excellence across our UK Land & Aviation business. Reporting into senior leadership, you will oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of transport projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines and cost.
- Leading end-to-end project delivery from scoping and design through to implementation and handover.
- Collaborating with internal teams, customers, and supply chain partners to deliver effective transport solutions.
- Supporting operational teams with subject matter expertise and guidance.
- Creating and maintaining project documentation, systems, and training materials.
About You
Essential experience includes demonstrating strong knowledge of transport operations and relevant legislation, and experience delivering projects within transport or operational environments. You should possess excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines, and a proven track record of working collaboratively across teams and external partners.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Project Management qualification (desirable)
- Transport Manager CPC – Passenger or LGV (desirable)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
Working Arrangements
This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week with flexible working hours Monday to Friday, including an early finish on Fridays. This role is based at RAF Cosford, Shropshire, with flexibility to be based across the UK. Frequent travel to other sites is expected, alongside remote and hybrid working options.
