Werkstudent (d/m/w) - Prototype Germany

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a student to support the Prototype Germany department at its Donauwörth location. This is an excellent opportunity for a full-time student to gain practical experience in the development of future helicopter models.

About the Role:

In the prototype construction team, you will work at the forefront of aviation innovation. You will collaborate with experts in design, production, quality, flight testing, and program management to shape the next generation of AH helicopter models. Your responsibilities will include supporting components for demanding test series and their integration into development helicopters. This role offers challenging and varied projects that will help you expand your personal and professional horizons.

Your Location:

The Donauwörth site, situated on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg, is where helicopters are developed from initial concept to flight-ready products. You will witness these aircraft take off and land on our own test flight field.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvements in Manufacturing Engineering and Production Control.
  • Lead projects aligned with the company's strategy (e.g., implementing Lean Principles, Data Analytics).
  • Support the departmental management.
  • Visualize and improve processes.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Enrolled full-time student (d/m/w) in Business Informatics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
  • Previous practical experience in aerospace engineering, preferably in an operational area, is desirable.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Solid IT skills; programming knowledge in C+, Python, SQL is desirable.
  • Affinity for data visualization and simplifying complex relationships.
