Windows Server Specialist (f/m)
Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Windows Server Specialist to join the "Infrastructure Hosting Server OS" department in Getafe, Spain. This role is crucial for supporting the full lifecycle of digital infrastructure, from bids and requirement gathering to project coordination and service level assurance.
As part of an international team, you will be involved in implementing and operating both Windows and Linux RedHat Operating Systems. Your primary focus will be on the Windows OS lifecycle, aiming to deliver efficient, automated, and up-to-date Windows server solutions to application colleagues.
Your Challenges:
- Monitor the performance of externalized suppliers, including SLA follow-up, invoice control, security patching, and problem management.
- Identify and lead the implementation of corrective actions for supplier performance gaps.
- Support the definition of Windows server standards and technical designs to meet customer needs and maximize value.
- Implement the latest Windows standards and designs within the Spanish environment.
- Assist customers with the integration of Windows solutions during their application design and rollout phases.
Your Profile:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Windows server system engineer or in a similar role.
- Technical expertise in Windows OS, WSUS / MECM, KMS, Active Directory, and VMware.
- Basic understanding of Networking (LAN / WAN, TCP/IP).
- Experience with Virtualization and clustering.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Powershell is required.
- Experience with Ansible for automation is desirable, with opportunities to learn.
