BAE Systems Shared Services Work Experience
Join BAE Systems Shared Services for an insightful one-week work experience placement, running from Monday 5th to Friday 9th October 2026. This programme is specifically designed for Year 12 and 13 students (aged 16-18) and offers a fantastic opportunity to achieve a Silver Industrial Cadet Award.
Our Shared Services division plays a crucial role across BAE Systems, focusing on essential professional services that support our Air, Naval Ships, Submarines, Defence Solutions, and Maritime business units. This work experience is exclusively focused on non-engineering career pathways. You will explore exciting roles in areas such as Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Customer Operations, and other people-centric careers. This is a fantastic chance to discover the diverse non-engineering apprenticeship and career opportunities available.
During your five-day placement, you will:
- Explore our Shared Services apprenticeship programmes and discover the non-engineering career paths we offer.
- Take part in interactive project activities led by experienced colleagues and apprentices.
- Work collaboratively with your peers to plan and deliver a group presentation.
- Join engaging icebreaker and team-building sessions designed to build your confidence and connections.
- Learn about our Early Careers routes for school, college, and university leavers.
