About the Role

At Babcock, we are committed to creating a safe and secure world. We are looking for a Technical Quality Document Manager to join our team in Plymouth, Devon, on a full-time permanent basis. This role is integral to supporting the Major Nuclear Capital Programme (MNCP), ensuring the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects through effective document and information management within a Building Information Modelling (BIM) framework.

As a Subject Matter Expert for document control and due process, you will be responsible for managing essential project information accurately, efficiently, and compliantly. Your work will directly contribute to nationally important programmes and offer opportunities to develop specialist expertise in document management, quality assurance, configuration control, and digital information systems within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide document control and due process support to project teams and external suppliers using Autodesk Vault.
  • Perform quality checks on technical documentation before issuance and transmittal to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support verification activities, including document distribution, review coordination, meeting administration, and progress tracking.
  • Deliver guidance, training, and technical support to colleagues and suppliers on document management processes and best practices.
  • Maintain configuration and due process systems, including Autodesk Vault and associated information management tools.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in document management or information management, preferably within a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of document control processes and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in following established processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of digital document management systems and information governance principles.

Advantageous Experience:

  • Experience with Autodesk Vault, Microsoft Access, or SharePoint.

Essential Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • GCSE Grade C/Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Further qualifications in information management, document control, quality management, or business administration.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
